Applying to HTC's Client Acceleration Program
Client Companies must:
• Be headquartered in the Gulf Coast area
• Be in one of HTC’s focus industries (energy, information technology, life sciences,• nanotechnology, NASA/aerospace)
• Have proprietary, disruptive technology
• Have potential to reach $30M by 5th year
• Be willing to assemble appropriate management team

Entrepreneurs interested in applying to the Houston Technology Center Client Acceleration Program should follow these steps:
Applicant:
1. The company’s CEO, along with interested founders, should attend an HTC Orientation to learn more about the Houston Technology Center, its role in business development, how it can help accelerate the growth and success of emerging technology companies, and learn about HTC's Client Acceleration Pathway.
Orientation is held at HTC every second and fourth Wednesday of each month and are free of charge. Companies wishing to attend Orientation must pre-register online.
2. After attending Orientation, contact the Acceleration Coordinator to request an application meeting with the sector Acceleration Director. Applicants should download and complete the Client Company Application form.
Candidate:
3. After meeting with an Acceleration Director and determining compatibility and business readiness, submit the Client Company Application form, along with an Executive Summary and Business Plan to the Acceleration Coordinator. For more information on preparing an Executive Summary or Business Plan, review the Strategic Business Overview Guide or download the sample Business Plan Outline provided under Entrepreneurial Resources.
4. Submit a $250 non-refundable Client Application Fee along with your application form and supporting documents. Payment can be made online or by check, payable to Houston Technology Center.

Once your application form has been submitted to the Houston Technology Center, along with payment and supporting documents, a sector specific HTC Acceleration Director will contact you to discuss your application and schedule a meeting.

Applying to HTC's Client Incubation Program
HTC Incubation Client Eligibility:
• Be headquartered in the Gulf Coast area
• Be in one of HTC’s focus industries (energy, information technology, life sciences, nanotechnology, NASA/aerospace)
• Have proprietary, disruptive technology
• Have a NASA related technology or a prior affiliation with NASA/Johnson Space Center
• Be willing to assemble appropriate management team
• Be headquartered in the Gulf Coast area
• Be in one of HTC’s focus industries (energy, information technology, life sciences, nanotechnology, NASA/aerospace)
• Have proprietary, disruptive technology
• Have a NASA related technology or a prior affiliation with NASA/Johnson Space Center
• Be willing to assemble appropriate management team
Process for joining the Incubator Program:
• Entrepreneurs request a meeting with Incubation Staff
• During the assessment meeting, HTC staff evaluates the status of the company and the readiness of the entrepreneur to benefit from the incubation program
• Several additional meetings may be scheduled to provide limited business advice
• When the entrepreneur has progressed enough to benefit from the incubation program, the entrepreneur will be invited to become an Incubation Client,(HTC Incubation Client Application) OR
• If the entrepreneur has progressed far enough to be a candidate for the Acceleration Program, their company will be encouraged to submit an HTC Acceleration Client Application
• Entrepreneurs request a meeting with Incubation Staff

Incubation Client Cost:
• Clients are requested to either provide or pledge a 1% equity donation

Incubation Client Participation Requirements:
• Client must be prepared to meet weekly with their Incubation Director, if needed
• Establish an office in the HTC Innovation Park
• Client must be prepared to meet weekly with their Incubation Director, if needed
