HTC – JSC Campus Incubation Program

The Houston Technology Center’s Incubation Program is dedicated to supporting the growth of very early stage NASA related, technology businesses.  The overall objective of the Incubation Program  is to prepare fledgling companies become part of the HTC’s Acceleration Program

Current Incubation Program Clients:
• Agilis, AmFuels, Aquostic Systems, Authorized CV, Carbon Technologies, Chandah,
• CyberDerm Technologies, DimDrop, Expandco, Gabrial UAS, Market Doctor, Monitor Wizard,
• Mynd Hyve, Perishable Handling System, Pterosail Trike Systems, Waypoint 2 Space

HTC Incubation Client Eligibility:
• Be headquartered in the Gulf Coast area
• Be in one of HTC’s focus industries (energy, information technology, life sciences, nanotechnology, NASA/aerospace)
• Have proprietary, disruptive technology
• Have a NASA related technology or a prior affiliation with NASA/JSC
• Be willing to assemble appropriate management team

Assistance Provided to Incubator Clients:
• Development of business strategy
• Creation of business plan, executive summary and business overview presentation
• Assistance in forming as a legal entity (LLC, S Corp, C Corp, etc.)
• Preparedness for HTC’s Acceleration Program
Note:  Incubation Services are only provided at the Houston Technology Center - JSC Campus

Duration of Incubation Assistance:
• The overall goal is to graduate Incubator Clients within 6 months, with the completion of the business plan, legal formation, executive summary and presentation

Incubation Client Cost:
• Clients are requested to either provide or pledge a 2% equity donation

Incubation Client Participation Requirements:
• Client must be prepared to meet weekly with their Incubation Director, if needed
• Establish an office in the HTC Innovation Park 

Process for joining the Incubator Program:
• Entrepreneurs request a meeting with Incubation Staff
• During this Assessment Meeting, HTC staff assesses the status of the company and the readiness of the entrepreneur to benefit from incubation assistance
• Several additional meetings may be scheduled to provide limited advice to the entrepreneur
• When the entrepreneur has progressed enough to benefit from the incubation program, the entrepreneur will be invited to become an Incubation Client, OR
• If the entrepreneur has progressed far enough to be a candidate for the Acceleration Program, the entrepreneur will be encouraged to submit an HTC Client Application
