HOUSTON TECHNOLOGY CENTER WELCOMES NEW NANOTECHNOLOGY ENTREPRENEUR-IN-RESIDENCE

HOUSTON February 3, 2009 - The Houston Technology Center (HTC), a non-profit business accelerator that assists Houston-based emerging technology companies, announces that Bill Crow has joined the HTC as a nanotechnology entrepreneur-in-residence.

Crow recently retired as chief of staff for Texas Congressman John Culberson’s office, where he focused on nanohealth, nanoenergy and traffic congestion reduction. Prior positions, including stints with Tobin, Seismic Computing Corporation, Swanson & Crow and GPS Technology Corporation, has given him the private sector expertise needed to help pioneering nanotechnology companies develop new business ideas, identify market opportunities or commercialize their promising technologies.

“HTC entrepreneur-in-residence are high-level, experienced technology entrepreneurs who are chosen based on their success starting and managing successful enterprises,” said Walter Ulrich, president and chief executive officer of HTC. “They play a crucial role in supporting the HTC’s efforts to favorably impact the next generation of entrepreneurs bringing emerging technologies to the Houston region.”

Crow has a bachelor’s degree in geological engineering and a master’s degree in Geophysics from Kansas University in Lawrence, Kansas.
